Three weeks of growing

What’s to add? Things are going quite well. One of the Gherkins gave up, but there are still several leftover (what did I thing, putting 8 in the ground?). The peas got a little more room..
This week, some plants arrived! I expected them only in April, but there they were: 2 cranberries, 6 strawberry plants, 1 raspberry bush and 1 blackberry bush. I didn’t know what else to do but to put them in the garden, there just isn’t any other place to put them. I covered them with lots of straw and keep my fingers crossed. Until now, it’s warm here. Spring has arrived!

Two weeks of growing

Things are happening in my kitchen window! The growing is incredible.. Even the broken peas started growing again, from different spots. And my parsley suddenly sprouted like mad. It’s fascinating..

Things are growing much faster as I thought. The peas, beans, snow peas and gherkins are going to need a better -bigger- place soon, roots are all over the place. I’m not so sure what to do with them. It’s definitely spring here, with milder temperatures, blue sky, birds returning and trees getting a green glaze again, but I’m not sure about putting my sprouts outside yet. Nightly frost will definitely not be over yet.. Anyway, they’re all growing so fast, I could even give it a try and still have enough time left to put new seeds in the ground, in case they don’t survive. We’ll see. It’s the first time I’m having things like peas, it’s just trying out I think.
